Transfer a tire
Transferring moves a tire to another facility while keeping its history, costs, and associations intact. Use it when a tire physically moves between your locations.
Before you begin
Requires the Edit Tire permission, checked against the facility the tire currently belongs to — not the facility you are working in. Without it, Transfer is greyed out in the Actions menu with an "Edit Tire permission required" tooltip.
You need at least one other facility available to transfer into. The current facility is never offered as a destination.
Transfer a tire
Open the tire in the Tire File.
Select Actions, then Transfer.
The dialog shows the tire's number and its current facility for reference. Choose the Destination Facility.
Select Transfer.
A confirmation naming the destination appears — for example, "Tire transferred to Central Shop." The tire keeps its history, costs, and associations at its new facility.
If the tire is mounted
If the tire is currently mounted, the dialog warns you which unit it is on — for example, "This tire is mounted on Unit 4102. It will be dismounted and transferred." In most cases Fleet360 dismounts it for you as part of the transfer, so you do not need to dismount first.
If the transfer cannot be completed that way, Dismount this tire before transferring it. appears under the Destination Facility field. Dismount the tire, then transfer it.

If it doesn't work
Transfer is greyed out. You are missing the Edit Tire permission for the tire's current facility — hover the lock icon to confirm. Holding the permission at your working facility is not sufficient.
The Transfer button is disabled and the destination list is empty. There are no facilities you can transfer this tire into. The list excludes the tire's current facility and any inactive facility, so a single-facility setup has nowhere to send it.
"Dismount this tire before transferring it." The tire is mounted and this transfer could not dismount it automatically. Dismount it yourself, then transfer.
"Tire number already exists in the destination facility." The destination facility already has a tire with that number. Renumber the tire first, or choose a different destination.
"You do not have access to this facility." You lack access to the destination facility you selected. Ask an administrator for access, or choose a different destination.
