Work Order workspace
This reference describes the areas of the Fleet360 Work Order workspace — what each area contains and what it is used for. Use it when you need to locate a specific feature or understand what a section of the screen does.
Work Order header
The header appears at the top of the workspace and contains the Work Order's identifying information and editable fields.
Element | Description |
|---|---|
Work Order number | Unique identifier for this Work Order. Read-only after creation. |
Status | Current Work Order status (In Progress, Ready for Review, Closed). |
Reason | Editable field — the reason category for this Work Order (for example, Scheduled Maintenance). |
Priority | Editable field — the urgency level (for example, Major). |
Shop ID | The shop performing the work. |
Customer | Editable field — the customer associated with this Work Order, if applicable. |
WO Meter | The asset meter reading at Work Order open. Editable via the Edit Meter action. |
Vendor | The outside vendor for sublet work, if applicable. |
The header also shows a summary strip with job completion statistics, cost totals, scheduled dates, and days open. See Work Order fields for full field definitions.
Asset context panel
The asset context panel is collapsible and sits to the left of the main content area. It provides information about the asset associated with the Work Order without requiring navigation away.
Section | Description |
|---|---|
Asset identification | Unit number, year, make, model, and current availability status. |
PM Due | Preventive maintenance items that have reached their service interval for this asset. Items can be added directly to the Work Order as jobs. |
Planned | Work queued for the asset but not yet assigned to a Work Order. Items can be added to the current Work Order as jobs. |
Open Work Orders | Other currently open Work Orders for this asset. Provides awareness of concurrent work. |
The panel can be expanded or collapsed to reclaim horizontal space for the main content area.
Main content tabs
The main content area contains four tabs. The active tab is highlighted in the tab bar.
Jobs tab
The default tab when a Work Order is opened. Contains all jobs associated with this Work Order.
From the Jobs tab you can:
View all jobs and their statuses
Add, edit, close, or reopen jobs
Post labor, parts, tires, and miscellaneous charges to jobs
Request parts for jobs
Switch between job view modes (Read, Scan, Glance)
Enter bulk mode to act on multiple jobs at once
Work Order Info tab
Contains the Work Order's supplemental information fields — notes, 3C notes at the Work Order level, and other configuration-dependent metadata fields.
Attachments tab
Contains files attached to the Work Order. The tab label shows the current attachment count.
From the Attachments tab you can:
View and download attached files
Add new attachments
History tab
Contains the audit trail and change history for the Work Order — a record of who did what and when.
Actions panel
The actions panel is a collapsible sidebar on the right side of the workspace. It provides context-sensitive actions for the Work Order as a whole — actions that affect the entire Work Order rather than a specific job.
Common actions available in the actions panel include closing the Work Order, printing, and other Work Order-level operations.
Note: The actions panel is part of the workspace layout and may be collapsed at narrower screen widths. See the responsive layout reference (link pending) for details.
