Post tires to a job
Requires the Post: Tires permission. See Work Order permissions.
This task is only available if your organization has Tire Posting enabled. See Posting types and Work Order system switches.
Steps
Open the Work Order, then in the workspace actions area select Add posting. The Add Posting panel opens.
Select the job you want to post the tire to.
Select Tires as the posting type.
In Tire Number, select the tire you're mounting. Tire Size, Price, and Tire Type fill in automatically from the tire's record.
If you have the Post: Edit Tire Cost permission, you can change the Price.
Select the Tire Position you're mounting the tire to, from the Tire Position list.
Select the posting Date.
Select Post.
NOTE: If the job is closed, you're prompted to reopen it first. Confirm the reopen prompt to continue — see Close or reopen a job.
NOTE: If a tire is already mounted at the position you selected, a Mount Tire dialog opens instead of posting immediately. Select what to do with the dismounted tire — Mark to Retread, Return to Inventory, or Mark to Scrap — then select Mount to confirm. This dismounts the old tire and mounts the new one in the same confirmation. Select Cancel instead to back out without posting anything.
A "Tire posted" confirmation appears, and the transaction appears in the job's transactions list.
If this step fails
If selecting Post appears to do nothing, check that Tire Position and Date are filled in — both are required before the posting can go through.
