Add attachments to a Work Order
Before you begin
You need the View Work Orders permission to open the Work Order at all, and the Work Order (or the specific job, for a job-level attachment) must be open — the upload control only appears while it's open. To add an attachment to an already-closed job, you need the Edit Closed Jobs permission instead. See Work Order permissions (Reference 4.9) for details on both permissions.
Steps
Open the Work Order (or estimate Work Order) you want to add a file to.
Select the Attachments tab.
Find the section you want to add the file to — the Master section for a Work Order-level attachment, or the specific job's section for a job-level attachment.
Drag one file onto that section's upload tile, or select the upload tile to open a file browser and choose one file.
Outcome: A "File Uploaded" message appears, and the file appears immediately in that section's file list — no page refresh is needed.
Only one file is added per drag or per file-browser selection. To add more files, repeat step 4 for each one.
If this step fails
If the file doesn't appear after uploading, or you don't see an upload tile in the section you expected, see Attachment did not save.
