Research an insight

Use Research this one to ask FleetHQ for a root cause and recommended plan for one eligible detector-only finding.

Before you begin

  • You need Act on FleetHQ Insights permission.

  • FleetHQ must be enabled for your system.

  • The finding must show detector-only analysis and must not already be under research.

  • You need enough AI credits for the request.

Manual research remains available when automatic research is off.

Request research

  1. Select the detector-only finding.

  2. Review its measured evidence and existing next check.

  3. Select Research this one.

  4. In Research this insight?, read the remaining monthly credit balance and the explanation of what the investigation will add.

  5. Select Research this one to confirm the spend.

FleetHQ marks the card Researching and continues in the background. You do not need to keep the dialog or page open.

Review the result

  1. Return to the card, or leave the page open while it refreshes automatically.

  2. When the Researching badge clears, select View analysis.

  3. Review the root cause, evidence, ruled-out alternatives, confidence, and recommended plan.

  4. If Deeper dive needed appears, read the partial result as a lead rather than a conclusion. FleetHQ will retry that incomplete analysis automatically.

If research cannot start or finish

Do not repeatedly resubmit a request. FleetHQ prevents duplicate in-progress research, and the card or confirmation dialog states whether the issue is credit balance, eligibility, an unfinished run, or unavailable analysis.
