Barcode Printer Selection
Selecting and linking a barcode printer to a facility is now documented in Installing Citizen Label Printer, under Network-Card Printer Setup → Add the Printer to the Facility (Printers Tab). That section covers adding a printer (Printer Name, Printer IP and Port), editing or removing a printer, choosing which printer a job prints to, and checking the print server connection.
Note: linking a printer on the Facility Printers tab is only needed for printers with a network card. USB printers do not require a facility entry.
Which barcode printers can I use with Fleet360?
RTA sells and documents Citizen label printers. Those are the models RTA supports and can help you set up:
Currently sold by RTA: Citizen CL-S700III. This is the model to order for a new printer.
Sold previously and still supported: earlier Citizen CL-S700 models (CL-S700, CL-S700II) and the CL-S621 series. Keep using these as documented. When you replace one, you will receive the current model.
RTA cannot guarantee compatibility with printers we do not sell or document. Other models have not been tested or certified with Fleet360. They may work, but RTA cannot confirm that labels will print correctly, cannot guarantee support for setup or troubleshooting, and cannot supply labels, ribbons or drivers for them. If you choose an untested printer, plan to work with the manufacturer for driver and label configuration.

How Fleet360 sends labels to a printer
There are two printing paths, and they place different requirements on the printer. This is useful background when you are evaluating a model.

Barcode printing is not supported on mobile devices or Apple devices.
