Summary/Use Case
Report Summary
The High-Low Use Parts report provides a detailed list of parts filtered by their usage frequency over a specified date range. Fleet managers can use this report to quickly identify which parts are being used most/least often, enabling better inventory control and purchasing decisions. This helps ensure parts availability while avoiding overstocking rarely used items.
Use Case
Identify frequently used parts to maintain optimal stock levels
Highlight low-use parts for potential removal from inventory to reduce carrying costs
Support budgeting and purchasing decisions based on actual usage trends
Detect unusual usage spikes that may indicate maintenance or operational issues

Report Output and Data Elements
Report Output
The High-Low Use Parts report displays a tabular view of part usage data for the selected facility and date range, filtered by the specified usage threshold. The output includes details such as part numbers, descriptions, last date used, pricing, inventory levels, and calculated totals. The report also provides overall totals for usage quantity, current inventory value, and current total value.

7 | Beginning Value | Total value of beginning inventory (Beginning Inventory × Average Price). |
8 | Usages | Number of times the part was used during the date range. |
9 | Current Inv | Current quantity of the part on hand. |
10 | Current Total | Total current inventory value (Current Inv × Average Price). |
