Purpose of Motor Pool Driver Validation

Keep Unauthorized Drivers Off the Road

Motor pool checkouts come with an optional driver validation step that helps protect your fleet. When enabled, RTA Fleet360 verifies license expiration and “good to drive” status before a vehicle can be checked out. If something isn’t right, the system stops the checkout so you can avoid unnecessary risk. 

Prerequisites and Availability

(Available for Platinum and Diamond Subscription Tiers)

With this motor pool setting, we’ll require a few new elements:

  1. Validation Setting in Motor Pool be activated

  2. Contact Record Established

  3. Contact Record should include

    1. License information for the driver

    2. “Good to Drive” toggle kept accurate

Setting Up Motor Pool Validation Setting

  1. Under the Main Menu, expand the Motor Pool area using the carrot

  2. Click <Motor Pool Settings>

  3. Click <Driver Validation> from the list

  4. Set the <Validate Drivers Toggle> to on by moving it to the right

  5. Click <Save>

Setting Contact Record Elements for use with Motor Pool Validations

  • When Motor Pool Validations is turned on in Motor Pool Settings, certain elements in the contact record MUST be true for a reservation check out to process

    • License expiration should be included and not expired

    • The toggle for “good to drive” should be set accordingly in the contact record - must be set as on or “good to drive” for the reservation to go through
