Tire POs for Goodyear Intergration
COMING SOON…
Receiving Tire Parts in Purchase Orders with Tire Record Creation
Goodyear Intergration: When receiving tire parts through a Purchase Order (PO), users with the tire management enhancement enabled will be prompted to create Tire Records. This guide walks through the process, criteria, and impacts on inventory.
When the Prompt Appears
A prompt will appear only if the following conditions are met:
The part type is "Tire"
The user has the tire enhancement/tier enabled in the system
Prompt Behavior
Upon receiving a qualifying part, the following prompt will appear:
"Do you want to create a Tire Record for these parts?"
If No is selected:
The system continues with the standard receiving process.
No Tire Records are created.
If Yes is selected:
A second prompt will appear requesting additional details to generate Tire Records.
Tire Record Creation Prompt
The user will be required to fill out the following fields:
Tire Number Prefix (e.g.,
M025
)Starting Number (e.g.,
002
)
⚠️ The Lease Info section is currently not implemented and can be ignored.
Example
If the prefix is M025
and the starting number is 002
, and the received quantity is 5, the system will generate the following Tire Records:
M025002
M025003
M025004
Part Number Tracking in Tire Records
Each Tire Record created will store the Part Number used during purchase (e.g., 20/58 Tires
). This linkage is important for inventory tracking and reordering.
Inventory Behavior
When tires are received, the Quantity on Hand (QOH) for the part is increased.
When a tire is mounted to a vehicle, the QOH is decreased for the associated part number.
When a tire is dismounted, the QOH is not adjusted.
This ensures the system continues to manage inventory levels and reorder points effectively for tire parts.
