Ron360 Reports, Reports, and Legacy Reports
Fleet360 has three reporting interfaces. They are separately licensed, separately permissioned, and built for different jobs. None replaces another, all three are current.
The three surfaces
Ron360 Reports builds reports from a description. You explain what you want, the assistant plans the queries and renders the result, and you save it, run it, share it, or schedule it. Use it when the report you need does not exist yet.
Reports embeds a business intelligence platform inside Fleet360, presenting dashboards and report templates configured for your organization. Use it for interactive exploration of modelled data, filters, drill-downs, and pivots.
Legacy Reports is a library of report files organized into categories. Administrators upload files; users open or download them.
Choosing between them
If you need to… | Use |
|---|---|
Create a report nobody has built yet | Ron360 Reports |
Describe a report in plain language | Ron360 Reports |
Email a report on a repeating schedule | Ron360 Reports |
Explore configured dashboards with drill-downs | Reports |
Reach a maintained document file | Legacy Reports |
Distribute a spreadsheet or PDF produced elsewhere | Legacy Reports |
The dividing question is who builds the report. In Reports, someone configures it in advance. In Ron360 Reports, you produce it by describing it. Legacy Reports stores and serves files.
They are gated separately
Each surface has its own permission and organization configuration.
Surface | Permission | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
Ron360 Reports | AI Reports View / Add / Edit | RTAAI |
Reports | Reports View | RTAREP |
Legacy Reports | Reports View | RTAREP |
Enabling Ron360 Reports does not change access to the other two.
Can they be used together?
Yes. A report built in Ron360 Reports can be exported to PDF or CSV; maintained documents can live in Legacy Reports; configured dashboards continue to serve exploratory work.
