Convert an approved estimate to a Work Order
Before you begin
You need the Convert Estimates permission, and the estimate must be in Approved status — the Create Work Order action is disabled for any other status. See Work Order permissions and Estimate Work Order statuses.
Steps
Open the approved Estimate Work Order.
Select Create Work Order in the top app bar.
A confirmation dialog opens: "This estimate has been approved. Do you want to convert it to a work order?"
Select Create WO to confirm.
A message confirms the work order creation is in process, and the estimate's status updates to Close Work Order Created.
Once creation finishes, select the Work Order link that appears in the estimate's header.
The link shows the new Work Order's number and opens that Work Order — the estimate itself remains as a read-only historical record.
