Complete or ignore a user task

Before you begin

You need Act on FleetHQ Insights permission.

Mark a task done

  1. Select the insight whose plan you are working through.

  2. In the recommended plan, locate the open step marked For you to action.

  3. Perform the work described in the recommendation. FleetHQ does not perform a user task for you.

  4. Select Mark done.

  5. In Mark this task as done?, add notes if the dialog offers them, then confirm.

The step changes to Completed, and the actioned counter increases.

Ignore a task

  1. Select Ignore on the open user task.

  2. In Ignore this task?, optionally explain why the step is not useful or applicable.

  3. Confirm the decision.

The step changes to Ignored, and it counts as actioned. The optional reason helps FleetHQ learn which recommendations are not worth surfacing.

Close a detector-only finding instead

When the card offers Got it and Not useful, those buttons apply to the whole finding rather than one recommended step:

  • Got it records that the finding was handled and removes it from the active list.

  • Not useful dismisses the finding and optionally records why.

If closing the finding removes the selected row, FleetHQ selects the next available finding.
