Build a report with Ron360 Reports

Ron360 Reports builds a report from a description. You write what you want in plain language, the assistant plans the queries, fetches the data, and renders a report you can save, run again, export, or schedule.

Before you begin

  • Ron360 Reports must be enabled for your organization (configuration RTAAI) and switched on for your site.

  • You need the AI Reports Add permission to build a new report. With view-only access you can open and run existing reports, but Build New Report is not shown.

  • Building a report consumes AI credits. If your organization has reached its limit you will see "AI credit limit reached, contact your administrator."

Build a report

  1. Go to Ron 360 Reports in the main navigation.

  2. Select Build New Report.

The screen switches to build mode: a chat conversation on the left, and the report preview on the right. The builder takes over the full window.

  3. In Describe the report you want, type what the report should contain, for example, "Show me a summary of work orders by facility for the last quarter."

Describe the data, the grouping, and the period. You do not need to name tables or fields.

  4. Answer any follow-up questions the assistant asks.

The assistant often asks a clarifying question before it builds, which facilities to include, how to group the results, what date range you mean. Answering makes the first draft closer to what you want.

  5. To give the assistant an example to work from, attach reference documents using the paperclip button at the bottom of the conversation. See Attach reference documents.

  6. When the preview looks right, select Done Building.

  7. In Save report, choose where the report should live:

    Choice

    What happens

    A folder

The report is saved into that folder and appears in your reports list.

    New folder

Creates a folder and saves the report into it in one step.

    Save as draft

Saves into the Drafts system folder, use this for work you want to come back to.

    Discard report

    Throws the generated report away.

    Keep building

Returns you to the conversation to make more changes.

What you get

The assistant produces an HTML report, not a static file. Because it is rendered rather than exported, you can re-run it later against current data, change its filters, share it, and schedule it for delivery.

If the report has parameters or filters, you will see Edit Filters on the report and can re-run it without rebuilding. See Run and export a report.

Note: Page orientation and specialized layouts such as invoice-style reports are chosen by the assistant as it builds, not set from a control. Ask for them in the conversation, for example, "make this landscape." See How Ron360 Reports builds a report.

If it doesn't work

Ron 360 Reports is not in the navigation. Three separate things gate it, and any one of them will hide it: the Ron360 Reports feature flag, the RTAAI configuration for your organization, and the AI Reports View permission on your user. Ask your administrator to check all three, if the feature flag is off you are redirected to the home screen even when your permissions are correct.

Build New Report is not shown. You have view access but not the AI Reports Add permission. You can still open, run, export, and copy reports that already exist.

"The agent finished without producing a report." The assistant completed its work but had nothing to render, usually the request was too vague or matched no data. Refine your prompt: name the period, the facilities, and what each row should represent.

"AI credit limit reached, contact your administrator." Your organization has used its AI credit allocation. Existing reports still run; new builds are blocked until the limit is raised or resets.
