Fuel - EFI Module Settings
A fuel module holds your company's settings for one fuel source: which EFI template reads the file, the product codes, the load and process options, and — when your files arrive by SFTP — the autoload schedule. Consult this page when you need to know what a setting on the module does, or to find Skip 0 Quantity Transactions and Run now.
For the difference between a module and a template, and what Support sets up for you, see EFI templates and fuel modules: what you can change and what Support sets up.
Where to find it
Settings > Fuel Settings > EFI Modules, then open the module. The module screen has five tabs: General, Product Codes, Load, Process and Exclude Exceptions.
Access
| To | You need |
|---|---|
| Open Fuel Settings and the EFI Modules list | Manage Configurations, plus the fuel module permissions in your user group |
| Change a module's settings | The fuel module edit permission |
| Select Run now | Manage Configurations |
The EFI Modules entry is available only when configurable EFI modules are enabled for your company. See EFIQ-007 for the exact role-editor labels.
General tab
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| State | The state the fuel site reports in, used for state-mile and tax-mile tracking. |
| Default Site Number | The EFI site assigned to a transaction when the file does not carry one. |
| Alt Meter | Which alternate meter, if any, the file's reading updates instead of the primary meter. |
| Last Load Date / Last Load Time | When this module last loaded a file. Transactions dated before this point are not loaded again. |
| Fuel Price | Where the price comes from: the transaction file or your system defaults. |
| Cross Reference | Which cross-reference type matches the card or vehicle number in the file to an asset. |
| Override Miles | Whether the file's odometer may overwrite the asset's meter when it is lower. |
| Skip 0 Quantity Transactions | When ticked, a row whose quantity is 0 is rejected at load with the reason Zero quantity. The row is listed in the Rejected Transactions grid of the load results and in the load failure email, and it never reaches Review Exceptions or Process EFI. When clear, zero-quantity rows load and post like any other row. Off for new modules. Copy EFI Module carries the setting to the copy. The checkbox saves as soon as you change it; there is no Save button. The check runs at load only — transactions already on hold are not affected when you change it. |
Load tab: SFTP and Autoload
The Load tab holds the template selection and, when autoload is enabled for your company, two cards:
SFTP — the connection Fleet360 uses to collect your provider's files. Fill this in first; the Autoload card appears only once the module has an SFTP configuration.
Autoload — the schedule on which Fleet360 collects, loads and processes the files.
Autoload schedule
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Active | Turns the schedule on or off without deleting it. When off, the card reads "Autoload is not active. To start or resume, toggle Active". |
| Schedule | Daily, Weekly or Monthly. |
| Start Date | The first day the schedule may run. Cannot be in the past. |
| Start Time | The time of day each run starts. |
| Days of the Week | Weekly only: which days run. |
| Days of the Month | Monthly only: which dates run. |
| Save | Shown until the schedule is first saved. After that, each change saves on its own. |
When the schedule is active, the card states the next run: "The next autoload will run on date at time".
Each run collects at most 10 files from the SFTP folder; any further files wait for the next run. Each file is loaded and then processed, and the completion email is sent for each — see EFI Autoload emails and reports (new 26.11 page - link once published).
Run now
Run now appears under the schedule once it is saved. It runs the schedule immediately instead of waiting for the next start time — use it to test a new SFTP or schedule configuration, or to pick up a file that arrived late.
Selecting it shows EFI autoload is running. The run proceeds in the background and sends the same completion email as a scheduled run.
The button is disabled while a run is in progress.
If the run cannot be started you see EFI autoload could not be started. The schedule is not disabled; correct the configuration and try again.
Run now needs the Manage Configurations permission.
