Reference document support
Reference documents are files attached to a Ron360 Reports conversation to give the assistant a concrete example to work from. For the procedure, see Attach reference documents.
Accepted file types
The on-screen hint reads:
Attach PDF, Word, or image examples for the report's data, structure, and visual style.
Type | Accepted |
|---|---|
Yes | |
Word documents | Yes |
Images | Yes |
Spreadsheets (XLSX, CSV) | Not listed |
Note: The maximum file size and the exact accepted formats are not stated in the interface and are pending confirmation for this release. If you need to supply tabular data, describe the columns in the conversation or convert the sheet to PDF.
Accepted file types are PDF, DOCX, PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WEBP. Each file must be 15 MB or smaller.
What the assistant uses them for
The hint names three uses, and they are worth distinguishing because attaching a file does not by itself tell the assistant which one you intend:
Purpose | Example |
|---|---|
Data | A prior report whose figures the new report should reconcile against. |
Structure | An example whose columns, grouping, and totals should be reproduced. |
Visual style | A layout or branding example the rendered report should resemble. |
State which you want in the conversation.
Where they attach
Reference documents attach to the conversation, using the paperclip button at the bottom of the builder. A badge on that button shows how many are attached. The button is disabled while the assistant is responding.
There is no reference-document manager elsewhere in Ron360 Reports, attachments are added and reviewed from within the build or edit session.
Lifetime
Attachments belong to the conversation. The attachment count resets when the build session ends, so treat reference documents as context for the session you are in. If you return later to edit the report, attach them again.
