The Paperless Shop clock button
The Paperless Shop clock is one button in the top bar, next to the Fleet360 logo. It shows your shift status at a glance on any screen size. Select it to open a panel with every clock action.
The button is available only when Paperless Shop is enabled for your organization and your user group has the Paperless Shop time clock permission.
What the button shows
| Your status | The button shows |
|---|---|
| Shift loading | A spinner |
| Clocked off | A warning icon, Shift, and Start Shift |
| Clocked in, no job | Shift with your shift time, then a warning icon and Idle with the idle time |
| Clocked in to a direct job | Shift with your shift time, then Job: WO#_number_ with the job time |
| Clocked in to an indirect job | Shift with your shift time, then Job: _indirect job name_ with the job time |
| Clocked in to an equipment job | Shift with your shift time, then Job: Equipment with the job time |
| On lunch | Shift with your shift time, then Lunch with the lunch time |
| Shift could not load | A warning icon and the error text |
The warning icon means you are not clocked in to a job: you are clocked off, or clocked in and idle. The times refresh every 30 seconds.
A chevron at the right end of the button points down when the panel is closed and up when it is open.
What the panel contains
Selecting the button opens the panel. Selecting the button again, pressing Escape, or selecting outside the panel closes it. Selecting the button does not start or end a shift.

For an indirect job the job line has no WO number. For an equipment job it has no VEH number.
Actions
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start Direct Job | Opens a menu: Job Search, My Work, Add Job (then Assets or Equipment), and Quick Repair (then In House Repair or Sublet Quick Repair). Add Job and Quick Repair appear only when those features are enabled and your user group has the related permissions. |
| Start Indirect Job | Opens the list of indirect job codes. Select one to clock in to it. |
| Start Lunch | Starts your lunch. Available only while you are clocked in and not already on lunch. |
| Retry | Shown in place of the actions when the shift did not load. Loads it again. |
Both job menus scroll when the list is longer than the screen. They use at most 60% of the screen height.
Behavior to know
Starting a direct or indirect job while you are clocked off starts your shift first, then clocks you in to the job.
Starting a job while you are already on a job asks you to end the current job first.
The indirect job codes load when the button loads. If they do not load, you see Failed to load indirect jobs; select Retry.
With the button, the clock actions are no longer spread across the banner. Selecting the shift time does not end the shift; use End Shift in the panel.
