Job won't add after clicking Add Job

You clicked Add Job and the job was not added. Clicking Add Job again produces the same result.

Why this happens

The Add Job form requires certain fields before a job can be saved. When a required field is blank, the form highlights it with a red border to show what is missing. If you scrolled down while filling out the form, the highlighted field may now be above the visible area of the screen — so the indicator is present but not visible where you are looking.

Known limitation: The current form does not scroll automatically to the first required field when validation fails. You need to scroll up manually to find the highlighted field.

Resolve this

1. Find the highlighted field

  1. Do not close the Add Job form.

  2. Scroll to the top of the form.

  3. Look for any field with a red outline or an error message beneath it.

  4. Fill in the required field.

  5. Click Add Job again.

Cause Code is a commonly required field. If Cause Code is blank, select a value from the dropdown list before clicking Add Job.

2. If no highlighted field is visible at the top

If you scroll to the top and no field appears highlighted:

  1. Close the Add Job form without saving.

  2. Reopen it by clicking Add Job.

  3. Fill in fields from top to bottom before clicking Add Job — this keeps required fields in view when validation runs.

3. If the job still won't add

If the job still does not add after completing both steps above, contact your administrator or submit a support request. Include the Work Order number and the name of the job you were trying to add.
