RTA Web - Alternate Meter Maintenance

An alternate meter may be another meter such as an engine or component hour meter OR it may represent items transported by this vehicle such as passengers, cases, boxes, tons, yards, and pallets. A total of 40 alternate meter types can be defined in the RTA system; up to four alternate meters can be defined per asset.

Alternate meters can be used to help determine when PM services are needed.

Prior to setting alternate meters at the asset level, the types of alternate meters that can be used in the software must be configured. This document will walk you through the process of defining the various alternate meters that can be used.

Adding Alternate Meter Descriptions

1. From the side menu, expand the Admin section

2. Expand the system settings section

3. Click on Alt Meters

4. Click + New Alt Meter

5. A line will will populate and the user will add the description (For Example, HOURS)

6. Click the check mark to save the entry

7. Continue the process until all descriptions are added (1 per line)

These alternate meters may now be used in the asset files.

Deleting Alternate Meter Descriptions

1. From the side menu, expand the Admin section

2. Expand the system settings section

3. Click on Alt Meters

4. Click the trash can icon next to the alternate meter description needing to be deleted
