RTA Web - Requisitions
Create a Requisition or Request for Purchase which needs to be reviewed and approved prior to an official Purchase Order being generated.
To use Requisitions and have them visible in the menu, the option must be turned on in Company Info
Requisitions need to be approved prior to Purchase Orders being generated. Approval personnel and purchase amounts are set up via the RTA Classic application.

Requisitions Master List
The requisitions master list can be searched and sorted as per your needs.
Refer to Master List Functions TOC for information on searching, sorting, filtering, customizing, and exporting master lists.
The master list for requisitions displays all requisitions and their current status in the system.
Click on a requisition to view its details.
Adding a Requisition
Requisitions can be added in two ways.
Adding a Requisition from Requests
Requisitions can be created by sending items listed in the Request list to the requisitions for approval and placement on an official Purchase Order
Refer to Requests for instructions on sending request items to requisitions.
Adding a Requisition Manually
Manually add Requisitions by clicking the add icon
Select the vendor for the parts to be requested and click create
Requisition Approval Process
Once a requisition exists, it will need to be approved before it can be converted into a Purchase Order.
Approval personnel and their PINs as well as their approval limits are set up in RTA Classic.
Refer to Purchase Order Approvals for detailed information on setting up approval features via the Classic application.
To submit a requisition for approval, follow the below process:
Ensure that the status is listed as “unapproved”
Click on the requisition item from the master list
If the user has approval rights, click approve
Enter any comments
Click Approve
If the user does not have approval rights, click request approval
Click Request
If the person clicking approve does not have approval rights, a screen asking for the user ID and PIN will display and allows an approver to enter the information at the desk of the requestor or the requestor can simply click request approval.
How an approver accesses submitted approvals
Access the Requisitions master list and filter the status for requested items and access the items and follow the approval process listed above.
Editing a Requisition
There are multiple items that can be edited on the requisition if it has not yet been approved. See Requisition Page Overview for details on which items are editable.
Click on the requisition to receive edits and navigate to the item to be updated where permitted and make changes.
If edits are made to quantities or prices, a new approval will have to granted before converting to a PO.
Removing Requisitions
Once a requisition has been created, it can be canceled/closed as long as it has not already been converted to a Purchase Order.
To remove a requisition, do the following:
Click on the item from the requisitions master list
Click Delete REQ in the upper right corner and the requisition will be deleted
Converting a Requisition to a Purchase Order
For requisitions that have been approved, they should be converted to a purchase order.
Access approved requisitions from the master list
Click on the approved requisition
Click the Convert to PO button in the upper right corner
The requisition will now be found in the PO master list
