Deleting a Work Order Line Linked to a Drivers Report (DVIR)

Inspections>DVIR’s

The 'Delete WO Line Attached to DVIR Prompt' module is designed to prevent issues caused by the deletion of Work Order (WO) lines tied to Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) defects. Without proper intervention, deleting such lines leaves the associated defects in an unresolved state, leading to inconsistencies in the system. This option introduces a confirmation prompt that provides users with an actionable option, ensuring the defect’s status is correctly updated based on the chosen action.

  1. Access the work order from the work order search list

  2. Click on the line within the work order that has linked DVIR record

  1. When a user attempts to delete a Work Order line tied to a DVIR defect, a confirmation message appears with two options:

    • Delete Line and Restore Defect: The defect is restored to an “Open” or unresolved state, ensuring it remains scheduled for future action.

    • Cancel: The deletion is canceled, and no changes are made.

If a DVIR inspection is re-opened through this process, it must be handled as a new incoming DVIR and processed accordingly. For detailed instructions, refer to the section on Driver Reports (DVIRs) in Fleet360.
